Mpámá is a language spoken around Lukolela on the right hand side of the Congo river ( Hulstaert, Gustaaf 1984 , A. Windels 1939 , Sulzmann, Erika 1983: 553 , Hulstaert, Gustaaf 1951 ). It is counted as a Mongo-Nkundu [lol] dialect in E16/E17/E18/E19/E20/E21/E22/E23/E24/E25/E26/E27/E28, but linguistically, Mpámá is certainly not a Mongo-Nkundu dialect Hulstaert, Gustaaf 1984: 5 , and lexicostatistically too different from its closest relatives to be intelligible to any of them ( Bastin, Yvonne and Coupez, A. and Mann, Michael 1999: 205 ).
