The extinct poorly attested Southern Arawakan Chané [caj] is listed in E26/E27/E28 as a separate language. But the examination by Orphão de Carvalho, Fernando 2016 shows that it can be subsumed as Tereno [ter] on purely linguistic grounds. See also: Terena-Kinikinao-Chane [ter].
