Comment:
Ilocano (ilo-ilo) = 3 (Wider communication). Statutory language of provincial identity in northwest Luzon Island, other areas (1991, ACFLC Section 3(f)). Native to the Philippines with origin in Taiwan; became the lingua franca for the northern Luzon area toward the end of the 19th century. Widespread through that region and spoken internationally. Used in commerce.
