Unfortunately, however, languages – and especially unrelated languages – differ from one another, sometimes radically. Semantic approximation rather than equivalence between the lexica of two languages makes the pairing of "words" difficult, and morphological differences often pose knotty problems in devising a practical and usable entry design for a bilingual dictionary.
