Karen, S’gaw (ksw-ksw) = 3 (Wider communication). Karen people are thought to originate from Mongolia; language became widespread around mid-19th century with the creation of a written script by an American Baptist missionary, and under British colonial rule. Used in ethnic communication, church, farming, and trade.
