Malaynon [mlz] is listed in E16/E17/E18/E19/E20/E21/E22/E23/E24/E25/E26/E27/E28 as a separate language from Aklanon [akl] in the Philippines. Malaynon refers to the speech of the Malay municipality of northwest Aklan province. But Malay is merely a locality among others where Aklanon is spoken ( de la Cruz, Beato A. and Zorc, R. David Paul 1968: 6 ) and lexicostatistical figures ( Walton, Charles 1979: 78 , 89) are within the bounds normally assumed for being the same language. See also: Aklanon [akl].
