Comment:
Hiligaynon (hil-hil) = 3 (Wider communication). Statutory language of provincial identity in Iloilo, 4 other provinces (1991, ACFLC Section 3(f)). Native to the Philippines; became widespread in the 19th century at the end of Spanish colonial era. Used in farming, fishing, and education.
