Chimwiini, the northernmost surviving Swahili variety in Somalia, is counted as a Swahili dialect in E16/E17/E18/E19/E20/E21/E22/E23/E24/E25/E26/E27/E28. However, it is much too different from Swahili (of, say, Zanzibar) to be intelligible to it ( Abasheikh, Mohammad 1978: 3-4 , Derek Nurse and Alessandra Vianello 2023: 238 ).
