The Swedish dialects of the far north of Sweden, regardless of diachronic status, are counted as Swedish [swe] in E16/E17/E18/E19/E20/E21/E22/E23/E24/E25/E26/E27/E28. However, some archaic varieties such as Överkalixmålet were not intelligible to standard Swedish ( Carin Pihl 1924: 2 ) and thus at least one separate entry is warranted. See also: Swedish [swe].
