The name Kohoroxitari is the name of a village of speakers of the Yanoma (or possibly the Xitari) dialect of Sanuma. It is a place name, rather than the name of a distinct (and mutually unintelligible) language variety. Kohoroxitari has been listed in the Ethnologue as "unclassified."
