Ethnologue E16/E17/E18/E19/E20/E21/E22/E23/E24/E25/E26/E27 Khuen [khf] as a separate language from Khmu [kjg], but the only difference is that the Khuen have adopted Buddhism ( Izikowitz, Karl Gustav 1951: 24 ) and language-wise they are not appreciably different from the Yuan dialect of Khmu (p.c.
